Impress your guests with a beautiful leg, crown roast or rack of lamb for Christmas dinner! 2016 Lamb Pricing: $3.75 per pound hanging weight. Example: A lamb processed at 6 months old was 69 lb. hanging weight which yielded 41 lbs. of packaged meat. A $125 non-refundable deposit is required for us to deliver the lamb to the processor. We will collect the rest from you after the processor determines the hanging weight. Lambs are usually in the 60-65-lb. range. Sizes may vary and the finished amount of meat depends on the individual animal and the cuts selected. Example: Processing: $100 (paid to Bluebonnet Meat).  Meat is $3.75 per # hanging weight, and the hanging weight was 64 lb. = $240.00 (paid to us) = $340.00 Total. March Ewe Lamb for sale

Here are the ewe lambs we have selected as breeding stock. We have one left. These pictures were taken at 10-13 weeks old. They are really muddy because during their entire lives, it rained pretty much every day. The good news is, if we have not gotten footrot yet, we probably never will! Also, no pneumonia. These are strong little girls! Please excuse the MUD.

Lambs due March 2015

We’ve received some inquiries about when we will have lambs available. The girls are pregnant now and will be having babies throughout the month of March and the first week of April. Some will be sired by Mr. 7, and some by a leased ram named Willwerth Southdowns T2, otherwise known as “Big Boy.” Therefore, I estimate that lambs will be ready for processing for Thanksgiving and Christmas. We have scored a lot of leftover pumpkins, which they love to eat. Now they expect them in the morning and they are going to be really mad when we run out.
